I’ve had a new obsession lately- drawing with colored pencils. It’s my version of the popular adult coloring books. The glorious thing about colored pencils and a sketch pad is that I can literally just lounge on the couch and draw while others around me are watching tv. Painting, on the other hand, requires me to retreat to my “studio” (aka “corner of a room”). This month while my “studio” was being transitioned into the basement (it sounds bad, but is actually quite nice) I started some drawings with colored pencils. And for whatever reason… perhaps the desire to not have to think late in the evening… I started a small fruit series.

The avocado drawing was perhaps the most thought out- drawn in response to those few days when avocados (sadly) got brought into politics.
Meatball also got some love this month. He was feeling like we all were…
