I painted this shortly after Anthony Bourdain’s death. I’m not usually very attached to celebrities, but his suicide and death really impacted me. Bourdain reminded us to see the humanity in people and this is not a trivial thing. He reminded us that we are all not so different from one another. But that our differences are something to be celebrated. I think once you can internalize this it becomes more difficult to treat one another with hate or to tolerate the awful things people do to each other.
The original painting has SOLD. (I donated the proceeds to the Suicide Prevention Lifeline)
Art prints are available in my Pixels shop.
