“I know the world is bruised and bleeding, and though it is important not to ignore its pain, it is also critical to refuse to succumb to its malevolence.” -Toni Morrison
This is Wuilly Arteaga, famous for playing his violin in the middle of Venezuela’s deadly protests. After being jailed and tortured for his role in the protests, he left the country and is now in the US. I was so inspired by his story that it led me to create this painting.
The original painting has SOLD.
Art prints are available in my Etsy shop or Pixels shop.
