Today I wanted to say ‘thank you’ to all of the women who attended the Women’s March in D.C. or any other city. Or country! You are truly awesome and I regret I wasn’t there with you. The crowds were so inspirational to see. The message was an important one.
And the signs. All of the signs were AMAZING. I loved seeing them all. (See some here.) There were creative. They were bold. And they delivered the message. I’ve been glued to the #WMWArt hashtag.
I wanted to join in and make my own art. So here it is. LIFE: Women’s Edition.
Yes, I spent a significant part of today coloring.
The idea struck me after I made a “must be nice being a man” comment to someone. Once I started drawing this I felt like I could have drawn blocks for days. It doesn’t capture all women’s experiences. It would be impossible to do that. But it is something. And of course with the March today I wanted it to end with that.
There are still some empty blocks so if you have ideas for those I’d love to hear them.
